Mentre l’Oracolo usciva dalla vagina della storia (nasceva una seconda volta), il destino che non esiste, sgusciando da una costola del tempo, dispiegava l’azione necessaria per rompere la falsa immobilità; come una placca tettonica che scricchiola su un’altra mentre si carica di energia, liberandola con fragore raggiunto il punto di massimo accumulo. Non appena Daniel aveva tolto di mano il Baphomet a Ettore gli uomini di Tania più Dinis e Epaminonda avevano circondato, con atteggiamento protettivo, Daniel, Tania e l’Oracolo. Dall’altra parte erano rimasti Ettore, Dumbo che sembrava avere fatto una scelta e Isis, Ubirani era sparito.

Chiunque tra i presenti (tempo incluso) sembrava curioso di vedere che cosa sarebbe successo quando Ettore avesse tolto l’involucro usurato e rivelato l’oggetto misterioso. Come in un parto la prima cosa apparsa era la testa, sferica come soltanto il pi greco può renderla e con bagliori cromati perché la sporcizia secolare scivolava via come il residuo di sugo da una padella antiaderente. Poi emergevano le orecchie diverse una dall’altra: una evocava una femmina, non c’erano dubbi a causa degli attributi mammo-vulvari, l’altra un maschio e in questo caso l’attributo era eretto e ben riconoscibile. Il naso era bifido alla base e mentre saliva si trasformava in due ramificazioni evocanti corna che formavano un tutt’uno con le sopracciglia, sotto le quali si percepivano occhi a forma di mandorla (oriente?). La bocca a forma di imbuto orizzontale era sorretta dal mento, adeguato alla sfericità dell’oggetto; l’insieme era gradevole alla vista anche se in modo inquietante e mostrava una relazione di parentela con la sezione aurea.

Chapter 9 – The Oracle
As the Oracle emerged from the vagina of history (being born a second time), destiny, which does not exist, slipped out of a rib of time and unfolded the action necessary to break the false immobility; like a tectonic plate creaking on another, charging itself with energy and releasing it with a crash when it reached its maximum accumulation point. As soon as Daniel took the Baphomet from Hector’s hand, Tania’s men, plus Dinis and Epaminonda, surrounded Daniel, Tania, and the Oracle protectively. On the other side were Ettore, Dumbo, who seemed to have made a choice, and Isis. Ubirani had disappeared. As if they had agreed beforehand, Ettore threw himself at the group protecting Daniel and his gang, while Dumbo stayed close to Isis just in case.
Everyone present (including time itself) seemed curious to see what would happen when Ettore removed the worn wrapping and revealed the mysterious object. As in childbirth, the first thing to appear was the head, spherical as only pi can make it, with chrome flashes because the centuries-old dirt slid off like sauce residue from a non-stick pan. Then the ears emerged, each different from the other: one evoked a female, there was no doubt about it because of the mammary-vulvar attributes, the other a male, and in this case the attribute was erect and clearly recognizable. The nose was bifid at the base and as it rose it transformed into two branches evoking horns that formed a whole with the eyebrows, under which almond-shaped eyes (Oriental?) could be perceived. The horizontal funnel-shaped mouth was supported by the chin, which was in keeping with the spherical shape of the object; the whole was pleasing to the eye, albeit in a disturbing way, and showed a relationship with the golden ratio.
